6) Recycle Calling List
Tom says don't forget that we are going to recycle some of these calls, for example busies, no answers and answering machines. In some cases, contact will never be made with the right party, in other cases a live call may be achieved, but, again not with a right party, and will require rescheduling.

Call Recycling Properties
See Call Recycling Properties
- Some simple rules are set, including for call outcomes that are not specifically recycled, for example faxes and modems.
- As calls are recycled from one cycle to another, outcomes in each cycle, depend on what happened in the previous cycle. Thus a no answer is quite likely to be followed by another no answer, whereas a busy is likely to be followed by either another busy or a live call.
- Expectations are recorded for each cycle, in rows across the page. A lot of the data is constant, and easily copied from one row to another.
- Successful calls are shown as Results and unsuccessful ones as No Results. Results are calculated as being in the same proportion to No Results, as they are on the Setup and Talk Properties pages.
- The recycling continues until the sum of the calls made to the right parties has reached 20,000, that is 80% of the calling list.
Comments on campaign output
The talk times have improved, but the campaign length has tripled! Polly wishes she had got to grips with the implications of call recycling earlier.
